How long does the surface last?
A requirement of our membership with the API (association of play industries) our surface comes with a five year guarantee, however with minimal maintenance we would expect the surface to last considerably longer than this.

Is the material hot at installation?
The material applied during installation is cold and is mixed on site and installed in-situ.

Can you do any design in the surface?
Yes, however the more complicated the design the more time it will take to carry out the installation.  We can help you develop a suitable design which will match your requirements and the most efficient installation time.  We can also implement logo’s into the surface.

Do you need to do a site survey and if so is there a cost for this?
It is recommended you have a site survey carried out prior to installation, this way we can help answer any questions and deal with any possible problems caused by access to the site etc.  Our site surveys are free and we are happy to provide no obligation quotations.

Do you have a price list?
No.  We price each job individually based on area size, depth of surface needed and bespoke design if requested.  Abacus will be happy to provide an over the phone estimate if certain details about the site can be provided.

Do I need to have the ground prepared for you surface?
Our surface needs to be installed on prepared ground, there are occasions when we can install on existing hard surfaces such as tarmac in good condition or concrete.  Please call us for information on this, if you do need to have ground works carried out we can undertake this for you.

Does it have to be laid on a flat surface?
No, our product can be installed over undulating surfaces.

How soon can we use the surface after installation?
We ask that the surface be left untouched during the curing process and normally advise first use at least one day after installation.

How is the surface maintained?
Our surface needs very little maintenance, cleaning the surface with soap and water should clear any grime, moss that may build up over the years.  In the unfortunate event you have suffered damage to the surface we can provide repair kits and also offer a repair service.

Does the surface drain water?
The surface is porous and will drain water.
